A GROUP, Rivers Peoples Forum, RPF, yesterday, called for arrest and prosecution of the Minister of State for Education, Mr Nyesom Wike, over an alleged statement credited to him at a rally in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

In a statement, president of the group, Mr Charles Bekwele, described the statement by Wike as a threat to the peace of the state.

Wike was quoted as saying at a rally organised for him by Grassroots Democratic Initiative, GDI, in Obio Akpor Local Government Area that: "We will make sure they will not sleep again, as they are sleeping now. They will not sleep with their two eyes closed.

One eye will be open because they know there is danger."

The group said the statement was a threat to the peace in the state, adding that security operatives should arrest and prosecute him.
We just need to be careful when it comes to Education in this country cos it's kind of messed up presently. The whole ASUU strike must stop.
