Spartak Moscow striker is set to undergo a routine medical at Turkish club Fenerbahce on August 12, preparatory to sealing a deal at the Yellow Canaries.
The former FC Cape Town hit man is due to arrive in Istanbul at the weekend ahead of completing a possible €13 million transfer.
Both clubs, according to Turkish media reports, have agreed to trade the strong striker for the projected fee that would make the Super Eagles striker l return to Fenerbache on a two-year contract.
The 18-time Turkish champion had on Tuesday released a statement on the Istanbul Stock Exchange confirming the move. Fenerbahçe will have to sell a foreign player to accommodate Emenike as the Turkish Football Federation will only permit 10 foreign players perclub in the 2013-14 season.
Emenike cost Fenerbahçe €9 million when the club signed him from Karabükspor for in 2011 but the Nigeria international was sold to Spartak for €10 million without playing a single game for the club.
Emenike's goals meant Karabukspor finished champion in the Turkish second tier and Fenerbache wasted no time in bringing the explosive striker to Sükrü Saracoglu Stadium before he was shipped to Spartak Moscow, following his alleged involvement in matchfixing saga that rocked the Turkish top flight. He was later released without charges.
