The National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, yesterday commiserated with the Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, over the death of his father, Pa Ibrahim Ademola Fashola.
Speaking with our correspondent on telephone, the state NURTW Chairman, Alhaji Tajudeen Agbede, expressed sadness over Pa Fashola's death.
He said: "On behalf of Lagos NURTW, I commiserate with our governor and all members of his family on the transition of their patriarch to the great beyond.
"Our solace lies in the comfort that the passing of our father in the holy month of Ramadan is a reassurance that Allah will be pleased with his soul after a life well spent.
"NURTW prays that the Almighty Allah continues to be with the Fashola family and gives them the strength and faith to bear this huge loss."
Agbede also urged motorists, especially NURTW members, to drive safely during the Eid-el-Fitr.

Safety first in everything we do should be Nigeria's motto cos we seem to have forgotten this. We just go about our daily lives.
