Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has congratulated the Muslim community in Nigeria on the successful completion of the 14340 AH (2013) Ramadan fasting. The Governor noted that attributes such as the fear of God, discipline, study of the holy Quran, alms giving, compassion, tolerance and fulfillment of civic obligations exhibited by the faithful during the holy month were deeply inspiring. In a press release by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mrs. Funmi Wakama, Amosun urged all adherents of Islam to continue to abide by the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) after the holy month so that they would receive more reward from the almighty Allah. "We must also pray fervently for Nigeria so that the current challenges can become a stepping-stone to greatness," he said. Amosun wished the Muslim Ummah a happy celebration.
