Skipper of the Argentine national team, Pablo Zabaleta, on Wednesday said that Nigeria deserved the 4-1 win recorded over his country in a friendly match.
Zabaleta said it was tough containing the Super Eagles in the game, acknowledging that their approach for the game failed because of Nigeria's early goal.
He said, "Your team scored early when we were still trying to get used to the atmosphere. We tried to come into the game but against we never did.
"We struggled throughout and that is a plus for Nigeria."
Eagles skipper Joseph Yobo said it was a befitting victory for a team that has suffered defeat on a number of times against the Argentines.
He said, "We were determined to win. Nothing could have changed that. All the victory of Argentina over us has always been a narrow margin and now we actually whipped them on our soil. It is good for us."
