Osters IF Sporting Director, Peter Johassen, has expressed confidence that newly signed Nigerian forward, Alhaji Gero, will succeed in his Swedish adventure.
.
Gero, who has represented Nigeria's Under-20 and the Super Eagles, recently joined the Swedish top flight side.
.
"Several Nigerian stars have played in Sweden and I'm convinced Gero will do well. It might not be easy, but he will cope with time.
.
"Gero has the potential to boost our performance based on what we saw during the Under-20 World Cup," Johassen told supersport.com.
.
Defunct Pepsi league top scorer, Peter Ijeh, Abiola Dauda, Gbenga Arokoyo and Edward Ofere amongst others started their European adventure in Sweden. Founded in 1930, the club play their home matches at the 13,062 capacity Värendsvallen.
Tipping someone for greatness is something very great but that doesn't mean the person would be great. U have to work hard for that.
