Victor Moses and Brown Ideye are the latest players to arrive at the super eagles Camp in Durban ahead of the Nelson Mandela Challenge while Mikel Obi has been excused for health reasons.
.
Moses checked into the hotel at 2pm local time, while Ideye was already settled in. Moses told supersport.com that :
.
"I am excited to join up with my team-mates and look forward to tomorrow's game."
.
Coach Stephen Keshi had earlier told the eager local media at the press conference that Mikel will be unavailable but he re-iterated that even without Mikel, Kenneth Omeruo and Emmanuel Emenike, he was confident of fielding a formidable team against the Bafana Bafana tomorrow.
.
The Super Eagles will again train in the night at 8pm but this time, they will train at the impressive Moses Mabhida Stadium.
.
The team has spent most of the day relaxing with some of the Players playing snooker and a few others chilling with head-phones and just listening to music In the absence of regular team Captains, Joseph Yobo and Vincent Enyeama, second Goal-keeper, Austin Ejide has filled the role of team Captain.
.
Ejide told supersport.com that "we are here to support our coach and to play to his instruction as we strive to build a new team"
.
We are taking this game like a big fight because we are playing Bafana and we are African champions, so every game is important"
I would've preferred both of them to be in but it's all good...Having Victor Moses on the pitch means a lot to Nigerians!
