A 35-year-old former Visafone staff, Endy Dalvin Ogbeide, was yesterday docked before a Lagos Magistrate's court, sitting at Igbosere, for allegedly stealing N586,000.

The defendant, who is facing a three-count charge of stealing and issuing dud cheque, preferred against him, was arraigned before Magistrate O. A. Fowowe.

The police prosecutor, Babaji Ishaku, told the court that the defendant committed the alleged offence between June 2012 and June 14, 2013.

He said the defendant on June 2012, at House 54C Road 57, Victoria Garden City, in Ajah Lekki area of Lagos, obtained 70 cartons of Huggies diapers worth N560,000 and four shirts belonging to one Miss Queensley Kehinde Eweka, with pretence to pay. He assured her that he was going to pay on or before July 31, 2012, knowing that it was false.
