THERE were fears in Rivers State Government House, yesterday, as the Inspector-General of Police, MD Abubakar, ordered a massive redeployment of policemen across the country.
.
The order showed that six assistant inspectors- general of Police, AIGs, and 14 commissioners of Police, CPs, are involved.
.
Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Joseph Mbu, was not involved in the redeployments but it was learnt, yesterday, that most of the policemen and women serving in the Rivers State Government House, Port-Harcourt, are to be moved out of the state.
.
The affected CPs have been urged to vigorously step up the fight against all forms of criminality in their new commands and formations.
Well such things are bound to happen from time to time so it should not instill fear in anyone. Let's just see how it will all pan out...
