A security man attached to a company in Sabo-Yaba area of Lagos was recently charged to the Magistrate Court sitting in Yaba, for stealing a HP laptop, after he was captured by a Closed Circuit Television, CCTV, camera situated within the company premises.
.
An eye witness disclosed that the 21-year old man identified as Mike Prince was only a week old at the duty post on August 10, 2013, when he made away with a laptop valued at N160,000, after he got off duty, thinking that no one saw him.
.
The next day, the issue of the missing laptop led to the review of recordings by the CCTV which showed Mike as the culprit.
.
The incident was then reported at the Sabo Police station and Mike was arrested when he resumed duty the next day.
.
After interrogation, the suspect reportedly confessed to stealing the laptop and selling it to a computer engineer identified as Adamu at Sabo market for N30,000, out of which he brought a Blackberry phone for N15,000.
That's what I call DESPERATION.
There is nothing I can do to justify his action @ all.
It was a stupid thing to see!
