Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said on Thursday he believes new signing Mario Goetze is set to become a global star.
.
Goetze, who controversially signed from Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund in the close season in a €37 million deal, has not even played a league match yet but has already impressed his new employers.
.
"He will achieve that (global) level at Bayern. He will bring us that little piece of quality that will guide us to ultimate success," said Rummenigge.
.
Goetze has been out of action since suffering a hamstring injury in April, although he was an unused substitute against Eintracht Frankfurt last week.
.
"I need to play to regain my top form," he said.
