Job Title: Executive Director/CEO

Employer: NGO – Nigeria

Business Purpose: To implement and achieve the organization's mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objectives and to coordinate activities to raise funds which will be reinvested in the organisation .

Core Working Relationships: Trustees, Governing Board Members, Employees, Donors, Volunteers, Beneficiaries and Regulatory Authorites

Accountabilities:

•   Programme Delivery — Oversees design, marketing, promotion, delivery and quality of programs and services

•   Human Resource Management — Effectively manages the human resources of the organization according to authorized personnel policies and procedures that fully conform to current laws and regulations

•   Providing focus on key objectives

•   To be responsible for all the programmes, activities and services offered by the organisation

•   To supervise and coordinate all of the organisation's projects from inception to completion

•   To be responsible for the research and development of new programmes and services

•   To ensure best practices in project, programme and resource management in all the programmes of the organisation

•   To manage all relationships with volunteers and donors

•   To supervise the preparation of proposals and documentation for major projects as well as responses to Tender/Bid Documents, "Requests for Proposals" and "Requests for Quotations".

•   To ensure regular meetings are held with the Trustees, Governing Board and Staff. And

•   To ensure and maintain a high level visibility for the organisation

Desired Skills & Experience

•   10 years experience in administration

•   5 years of which must be in the social enterprise sector

•   2 years of which must be in a similar position

•   First Degree. Master's Degree better

Social enterprise management training will be an advantage

Technical:

•   Administrative Skills

•   Good understanding of Financial Management & Accounting

•   Social enterprise management Skills

•   Good understanding of the use of Social Media

•   Networking skills

•   Fundraising skills    

Interpersonal:

•   Leadership & Motivational Skills

•   Organisational Skills

•   Good Listener

•   Highly Disciplined

Personal:

•   Proven leadership, organizational and team management skills; able to engender the motivation and co-operation of staff at all levels, especially in a change environment

•   Commercially and financially astute, with the confidence, self belief and integrity to challenge the status quo when appropriate

•   An acknowledged networker and a track record of effective relationships at a high level within the social enterprise.

•   Excellent influencing and negotiating skills, including well developed oral, and written presentational skills, good understanding of the use of spcial media in achieving social enterprise objectives.

•   Excellent interpersonal skills with experience of working effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders; able to bring consensus across a wide variety of constituents

Company Description: A leading NGO involved with young teenagers mainly with special focus on their Education, health and Social Economic Development. Located in Lagos with operations and interests through out Nigeria. Operates mainly through private and corporate volunteers.
