Job Title: Software Tester

Position Summary: RightClick is searching for a software tester to assist with ongoing project initiatives and other application testing. He/She will be responsible for developing test plans and test cases and execution of those plans against client based consumer security technologies- the successful candidates will assist with resolving important testing related issues.
Responsibilities:
• He/She will be involved in all phases of testing- test planning, execution, troubleshooting, and reporting. Potential employee must be able to do the following:
• Write test cases and test plans for an IT-based project
• Execute test cases
• Investigate potential defects and discuss them with developers
• Log defects during the test execution phase
• Report test results to the project manager
• Organize and facilitated reviews, inspections, and walkthroughs of test plans and other Product Lifecycle Framework (PLF) related documentation.
• Develop test coverage matrices to maximize testing efficiency. Use optimization techniques to minimize the number of test cases and time effort while maximizing test coverage.
• Act as a technical expert in at least one area of system testing on assigned projects.
• Isolate root cause of defects and drive the resolution of important defects.
• Create QA status report for assigned projects as required.
• Participate in business requirements review sessions with the peers and business users
• Organize and participate in test plans walkthroughs
• Test the application in functional and system integration testing
• Write traceability matrix to reflect test coverage
• Prioritize test requirements and organized test cases accordingly
• Act as subject expert matter in the functionality assigned for the project
• Analyze and defining existing business processes and interdependencies.
• Analyze functional specs for completeness & testability.
• Analyze test output, identifying discrepancies and clearly documenting defects.
Mandatory Skills:
• 5+ years in software application testing
• Background/understanding of software development life cycle
• Demonstrated experience Windows Commands including: Registry Entries,
• Finding IP Address, Host Files, DNS etc.
• CSTE Exam certification an asset
