The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a medical representative for attempting to film the arrest of a commercial motorcyclist.

The representative, identified as Gregory Ekene Muonyililo, was arrested at the Amuwo Odofin Area of the state for trying to take video shots of policemen allegedly harassing a commercial motorcyclist.

Community Mirror gathered that the policemen attached to Area E Command, were trying to arrest a yetto- be identified commercial motorcyclist for violating traffic rule which restricted motorcycles on some roads.

The victim's brother, Onyeka told Community Mirror that: "Apparently the policemen set up a checkpoint in front of his office and were arresting commercial motorcyclists. He started filming the scene with camera on his cell phone.

"Although he should have been more discreet, they saw him and became agitated. They confiscated the phone from him after a few words were exchanged."

He added, "They went back to their duty post with his phone and my brother went back to work. When they later came looking for him, he thought it was to give him back his phone but to his surprise, they arrested him.

"They took him to the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja, where he was detained".

When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Spokesperson, Ngozi Braide, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, debunked claims that the policemen were making monetary demands on the commercial motorcyclist.

She also debunked claims that the victim was taken to SARS, but rather the X-Squad Department where investigation was ongoing.

She said, "I do not like it when people try to frame the police. I spoke to the man who was arrested and he never told me the police were asking for bribe from the commercial motorcyclist.

"What he said was that he did not like the way the police were trying to forcefully arrest the commercial motorcyclist".
