Flames top striker Chiukepo Msowoya has been ruled through injury from next week's World Cup qualifier in Nigeria, forcing coach Tom Saintfiet to recall Harvey Nkacha.
.
Msowoya, who plays club football for Maxaquene in Maputo, paves the way for the in-form Kamuzu Barracks' attacking midfielder who leads the Carlsberg Cup golden boot chase with five goals in two games.
.
The Flames are expected to stop over in Botswana for a friendly match on September 3 before proceeding to Calabar but funding hitches threaten the trip. The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) is still negotiating with government for additional funding.
.
"The Malawi Team delegation will be accommodated at Travel Lodge Hotel in Gaborone. The team is expected to fly out of Gaborone on 4th of September.
.
There will be no local camping but the team will train together in Gaborone on Sunday 1st September," wrote FAM on its website.
