Super Eagles psychologist, Dr Robinson Okosun is in bullish mood ahead of Saturday's 2013 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Malawi.

Okosun exclusively told supersport.com that he spent hours accessing the mental state of all 23 players of the squad and gave a pass mark after his examination of the playing personnel of the reigning African champions.

"Many people think football is all about going into the pitch and playing. At this level, football is much more complicated than that and that makes the job of the psychologist vital" Okosun said.

He revealed that he spent the most amount of time discussing with three players of the squad; John Obi Mikel, Victor Moses and Sunday Mba.

"I always spend a lot of time with Mikel because he is the engine room and pivot of the team. Everything passes through him and all the players respect him. If he is fine, then my job becomes very easy.

"Moses just joined a new club (from Chelsea) but he's fine. He admitted that Liverpool is also a big club and knows there is no demotion here.

"Sunday Mba's case was the most complicated following the controversies of his failed transfer to France. I have told him that he became a success because of his exploits with the national team in South Africa at the 2013 Afcon.
