Nigeria's Fifa World Cup qualifying game couldn't have come at a better time than now for SS Lazio's midfielder Ogenyi Onazi as the player says he has never been more motivated for a game in the national colors than now.

Onazi who spoke to supersport.com in Calabar says the whole team is determined to crush Malawi to pick the sole ticket in Group F of the Africa Fifa qualifiers this weekend.

"We are all aware of how important this game is, everyone is focused, we cant afford to slip up at this crucial stage.

"I still remember the Kenya game here in Calabar. We had a bad day at the office even though we still managed to get a point. It won't happen this time out." He said.

The Super Eagles just need a point to get the all important ticket from the group to get to the final phase of qualifying and the former My People FC star says, they ( the players) want to go all out to get the job done.

"Saturday is just a start, our main aim is the next phase, and for us to get there we need to cross this hurdle and we are determined to do it. We enjoyed the Confederations Cup experience and we want to go back to Brazil in 2014.

"I hope the fans will come to cheer us on Saturday and we promised not to let them down. Nigeria will go into the next draws." he added.

Nigeria currently top Group F of 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifying in the Africa zone with nine points from five matches.
