JOB SUMMARY: – The Operations Manager will be responsible for the delivery of professional Cleaning, janitorial/housekeeping management and solutions in support of both short-term and long-term business goals of the Company. – The Operations Manager will actively manage cleaning, janitorial/housekeeping operations of assigned clients. – The Janitorial Operations Manager will support and drive strategic initiatives of the operations executive management team. – Deliver services that meet or exceed quality standards established by best practices and Company policies in the areas of: quality initiatives, client relations and retention, employee retention, key performance metrics, performance management, training & development of staff, new hire orientation, safety, and legal compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
• Act as subject matter expert on all operations matters of commercial cleaning, janitorial and housekeeping matters to staff, clients and Company's executive management team.
• Able to fully implement the service initiatives and strategies of the Company.
• Manage cleaning teams to create a focused approach of zero defects in service quality and safety.
• Works effectively with co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeps commitments; keeps other informed of work progress, timetables and issues; addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions; appropriately escalates issues for immediate execution when critical to business success.
• Manages the operational activities of assigned accounts/clients; develops and implements strategies for maximizing efficiencies and decreasing costs of the work sites to meet business plan objectives; achieve continuous improvement; make decisions about non-exempt personnel regarding employment, performance ratings, promotions, transfers and terminations; resolve personnel problems; prepare performance objectives for subordinates and conduct training to new and existing employees.
• Ensure compliance with all labor laws, OSHA regulations and Company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Proven ability to lead and motivate staff at assigned accounts.
• Ability to use a computer and write well structured narrative reports in English.
• Able communicate fluently in both English
• Ability to manage multiple work sites, projects and tasks concurrently
EDUCATION: Minimum requirement of a higher diploma, attended college or college degree a plus.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three year experience in large commercial cleaning organization and or janitorial management or hospitality housekeeping management.
