Job Title: Field Worker – Mokwa (2-year renewable contract)

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable candidates for a position in Mokwa.
Duties:
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties
• Assist in the multiplication of open-pollinated varieties at Mokwa
• Planting and pollination of breeding lines
• Assist in multiplication of seeds of Open-pollinated varieties and hybrids at Ibadan
• Harvesting, seed processing and storage of breeding materials
• Assist in supervising casual workers during planting, thinning, pollination, harvesting and threshing
• Assist in preparation of seeds for trials
• Any other duty assigned by the supervisor
Qualification and Experience: WASC plus at least two (2) years working experience in a research institution.
The ideal candidate must:
• Have good communication skills and be honest;
• Be able to follow instructions and work independently where necessary;
• Be available to work outside office hours, weekends and holidays.
