Job Title: Contract Administrator

The Job: The appointee will be required to develop and administer appropriate planning and contract administration solutions for all third party works and services in all spend categories to assure timely and proper execution activities required to fulfil Company's contractual (production and delivery), statutory, administrative and social obligations.

The Duties:

The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

•   Coordinate, together with contracts and procurement teams as well as business areas in own location, works and services demand forecast, planning and budgeting to support planned activities and prepare 5 year contract plans within allocated business area or work and service category to ensure clarity of business requirements.

•   Develop and facilitate program for monitoring key activities for critical (strategic and tactical) activities, including key contract development milestones, contract optimization reviews and contract management audits.

•   Maintain systems for managing service acquisition (electronic or otherwise), data storage and retrieval, preparation and publication of contract performance metrics, contract close out and key business reports as required to facilitate timely placement and availability of critical contracts and performance management.

•   Together with Senior Contracts Administrator administer the Minor, Senior and Corporate Tender Committees, preview submissions and agenda items for completeness and quality, prepare agenda and organize meetings, guide on compliance with contracting process, keep and maintain record of proceedings and implement Tender Board directives.

•   Maintain contract data in contract management systems tools for departmental and internal customers, and provide training when required.

•   Maintain an efficient filing, archiving, retrieval and office supply system for all contract documentation and carry out internal audit of contract files.

•   Maintain and audit filing, archiving and retrieval system for all contract documentation and data including contract files and records of key contracting activities.

•   Support Contract Engineers in the administrative elements of contract development (bid issuing and receipt, correspondence with vendors etc.) using appropriate systems and processes.

The Person:

The right candidate should:

•   Possess a bachelor's degree (minimum of Second Class Upper). Membership of The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) UK or Nigeria, or Institute of Supply Management (ISM) US or equivalent at a diploma or certified level is an advantage.

•   Possess a minimum of 5 years post-NYSC experience; out of which minimum of 3 years must have been in a line role in a contracting and procurement organization.
