The Job:
The appointee will be required to:
• Assist and participate with the provision of process & utilities technology support to operations for a process area to maximise plant safety, reliability, efficiency, and capacity and ensure process technical safety.
• Assist and participate with the provision of process & utilities technology support for a process area to other business support groups to achieve business objectives.
The Duties:
The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Assist and participate with the provision of process technical safety assurance and compliance.
• Assist and participate with the provision of technology advice in the assigned area (process or utilities).
• Assist and participate with the provision of document technological advice to operations, including expected and realized economic impact, in compliance with the operating window, required design and engineering standards in the industry, minimize flaring and optimize fuel consumption, minimize waste generation and ensure efficient waste incineration.
• Assist in the 5-year program of process technical safety reviews to cover all high risks in the process/utility area.
• Assist in in-house process technical safety reviews (HAZOP, Process Safety Audits, SIL classifications, etc) for plant changes, third party projects integration.
• Assist with the updating of critical process safety documentation like Process Safeguarding Memorandum (PSM), process safeguarding flow scheme (PSFS), alarm and trip register, operating manual.
• Assist and participate with the provision of technological support to achieve maximum profit of NLNG through energy efficiency, maximizing production capacity, and minimizing unplanned process unit shutdown frequency.
The Person:
The right candidate should:
• Possess a bachelor's degree (minimum of Second Class Upper) in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Gas Engineering, Physics or any other closely related Applied Science discipline.
• Possess a minimum of 7 years post-NYSC experience; out of which minimum of 4 years must have been spent as a Process Technologist in a reputable organization, preferably an Oil & Gas company.
