The Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Alhaji Kabiru Tanimu Turaki has disclosed that the Ministry had identified a list of two Thousand, three Hundred and ninety-nine (2,399) constituency projects and programmes in the 2013 Appropriation, for implementation by Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

Alhaji Turaki made this disclosure while addressing the service wide meeting of Head of Service of the Federation and Permanent Secretaries, in Abuja on Tuesday.

The Minister implored the Permanent Secretaries of all the participating MDAs, to ensure quick returns of data of all abandoned Projects and Programmes from 2009 till date to enhance smooth and timely compilation by the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs.

Meanwhile, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita, said the Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs was set to ensure that the common man at the grassroots enjoys the benefits of constituency projects and programmes, as directed by Mr. President.  She stressed that all challenges noted by the various participating MDAs would be surmounted as much as possible.

However, the Head of Service of the Federation, Alhaji Bukar Goni Aji commended the efforts of the leadership of Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs so far, in carrying out the all important national assignments given to the Ministry; and also pledged his unwavering support for the Ministry in its determination not to fail Nigerians.

This is great news but we just hope it happens at last. If it happens at the end of the day so many Nigerians would be happy with their leaders!
