The Job: The appointee will be required to assure inventory asset integrity for all bought-in stock direct and indirect materials (excluding feed gas) required to fulfil Company's contractual, statutory, administrative and social obligations to its customers and other stakeholders.
The Duties:
The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Coordinate inspection, and vets within own are of competence, materials received into the warehouse to ensure only fit for purpose materials that meet prescribed specification, delivery conditions and user requirements are accepted by company.
• Coordinate daily activity for warehouse foremen based on the approved MRs and plant exigencies as may be required, and to ensure compliance to warehouse safety management program.
• Implement working procedures for carrying out warehousing activities viz: materials receipt, handling & storage, warehouse & yard operations safety, materials preservation, and materials Issue to ensure all stored materials are fit for purpose when required and prevent loss of materials due to damage, theft, expiration, corrosion, or other means.
• Develop and implement a HSE work plan including a self-audit safe working program for the main warehouse and materials yard operations.
• Monitor the storage and preservation of spares, consumables, general inventory material to ensure that all materials stored in the various warehouse facilities are fit for purpose when required and prevent loss of materials due to corrosion, injury to personnel, damage to company assets.
• Coordinate the reconciliation of routine stock check activities in order to ensure stock integrity and maintain high service delivery level and system data accuracy.
• Implement withdrawal, repair, testing and return of repairable materials to maintain fit for purpose materials.
• Develop and promote safe handling and storage of technical materials in lie with best practices.
The Person:
The right candidate should:
• Possess a HND degree (minimum of Upper Credit) in Metallurgical or Materials engineering.
• Possess a minimum of 7 years post-NYSC experience with at least 4 years' experience (in a technical quality control or assurance role) in reputable organization
