Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has downplayed his personal achievements as the side's mentor, and claimed that the Catalan club's success is down to the players.

The 40-year-old has won three domestic titles and two European crowns in his three-year tenure at the Camp Nou side, but claims the glory was gained on the pitch.

"This team could have done the same with another coach, but I would not have done it without these players, who are amazing," he told Sport.

The Blaugrana capped off a double-winning season with a 3-1 victory over Manchester United at Wembley, but the team manager remains modest in the face of triumph.

"I do not do anything different to what other football coaches do, whether in the First Division, 2nd B or lower grades.

"I do not consider myself better than anyone else. I just do my job the best I can without losing sight of where I come from, being honest with the players, trying not to mislead anyone and conveying my idea of football," the former Spanish international concluded.
