The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has approved the promotion of 2,142 civil servants who undertook year 2012 promotion examinations in the State.The Chairman, Civil Service Commission, Mrs. Aderonke Folarin made this known in a statement today in Abeokuta. Folarin gave the breakdown of the promoted civil servants to include 1,411 senior officers on Grade Levels 06-17, 618 junior officers on Grade Levels 1-5, adding that the promotion cuts across all cadres.According to her, another 139 junior officers who were upgraded to the senior cadre also benefited from the promotion exercise. She therefore enjoined the beneficiaries and the entire workforce to reciprocate government’s good gesture by making meaningful contributions to the mission to rebuild the state, assuring that on its part, government would continue to provide an enabling environment for them to perform.It would recalled that yesterday, Governor Amosun also gave a similar approval for the promotion of 3,272 teaching and non- teaching staff in the State.
