RESPONSIBILITIES: The Project Manager role is primarily responsible for the coordination and project management of all contract start-up, shut down and other strategic projects as assigned. The Project Manager is accountable to the Regional Director for full coordination of all primary stakeholders and the implementation projects as they relate to a new customer, base, equipment change or other strategic initiative.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute project plans for regional or other projects as assigned.
• Act as a 'single point of contact' in regard to all implementation activities.
• Identify critical drivers in regards to project timing and communicate to all stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve all issues and conflicts within and between regional or global projects.
• Provide reporting summary to all internal and external stakeholders on all active regional projects.
• Provide update into PMO for consolidated global reporting.
• Escalate critical issues to Regional Management, Regional Director and PMO.
• Provide reporting on 'Lessons Learned' post project reviews and health checks.
• Responsible for the project budget and cost tracking.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to improve efficiency, standardize processes and reduce cost of projects.
• International and regional travel maybe required.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience;
• Minimum 5 years previous operational experience or base management required.
• Experience managing aircrafts or aircraft operations type projects required.
• Experience utilizing Project Management, PRINCE2 methods or other related tools/philosophy.
Education;
• Credited Project Management, PRINCE2 or other related course an asset.
• Post Secondary education or similar business administration an asset.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities;
• Proven ability to develop and encourage teamwork across groups and manage cross functional teams within a matrix organization structure.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact at various levels within the organization.
• Ability to think analytically with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of region requirements, local aviation regulations, business structures and local logistics a benefit.
