Eagles assistant coach sure Nigeria will be in Brazil Super Eagles assistant coach, Ike Shorunmu, says the senior national team will not look down on Ethiopia after the draws for the play- offs of the 2014 FIFA World Cup paired the East African team against the reigning African champions on Monday.
.
Shorunmu pointed out that there are no small teams in the game, adding that only serious and adequate preparation can see the Super Eagles through.
.
"You don't judge a team merely by their name, it's clear there are no minnows in football again", starts Shorunmu who is Super Eagles goalkeepers' trainer.
.
"Let's recall our last game with Ethiopia during the AFCON Championship in South Africa in January; and the fact they won and drew all their group games to top the group are clear signs they are a force to reckon with."
.
"For them to be here, it's not easy, they are not a team to be underrated and we should admit that and give them the respect they deserve."
.
The former Besiktas of Turkey goaltender pointed out that adequate preparation is key to Eagles success.
.
"We've to prepare very well because adequate preparation is key. If we do that, as we've been doing in the previous games, why not, we will excel. This is the most crucial stage of the qualifiers. Playing first leg away is not a special advantage to us but we've to aim at securing a positive result in Addis Ababa so that we can come back home and finish the job and go to Brazil," Shorunmu who rated Sunday's Federation Cup final better than the 2012 edition said.
