We are currently looking for a Director of Flight Operations for our client who is a reputable Online Travel Agency with an International Presence.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To handle the Flights operations of the charter services, coordinate the flight schedule and also liaise with the Authorities like FAAN, NCAA, NAHCO & NAMA.
• Flight Operations Director will take charge of all inspections of flights with the NCAA before the flights are approved for the company's Holiday Services.
• Overall policy relating to the commercial direction, safety and efficiency of the company's operations relative to the terms and requirements of the relevant authority and legislation in force.
• Defining and maintaining the highest standard of safety of company's aircraft operations and maintaining the standard of operational efficiency for operations staff
• Ensuring that the company's operational policies and safety standards, as decided are implemented and administered and that these policies are kept under review.
• Offshore operations like the destinations operations management, landing and parking coordination will be handled by the DFO.
• All airport operations will be handled by the DFO and his team for all travel coordination of passengers, checking in and baggage handling inclusive.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• An airline's transport pilot license
• 15 -20 years experience working in an international or local airline operating in Africa.
• Extensive experience in an airline flight operations management role
• At least 3 years experience as pilot in command in commercial air transport operations
• Must possess the ability to manage complex tasks associated with airline operations.
