Ghana's most consistent defensive midfielder in the past year, Rabiu Mohammed, is likely to be out for five to six weeks after an early injury in the Europa League.
.
Reports in the Russian media suggest that the recently-signed enforcer's short time in the Kuban game against St Gallen was down to an "unpleasant injury."
.
"The injury to Rabiu is a rather unpleasant one; perhaps his loss could be for 5-6 weeks. We just got this player, were very much looking forward to him and I have to again look for new combinations," Kuban coach Dorinel Munteanu said, according to Championat.
.
The player was thus pulled off after just under 20 minutes in the game in which Kuban won 2-0.
.
If the prognosis by the coach is true, then the 23-year old will miss the first leg of the 2014 World Cup qualifying playoff against Egypt in Kumasi on October 15.
.
Rabiu only recently joined the Russian club from French side Evian Tholon.
Ghana national team don't need any injury for now cause they need all of their dope players ahead of their Egypt clash!
