Job Title: Executive Secretary
Location(s): Lagos, Nigeria
Employer: Youth Rebirth Initiative
Reports To YRI Executive Council (through Chairman)
The Executive Secretary is expected to help the organization achieve its goals and objectives as outlined below:
Information Management:
a) Manage the organization's information processes
b) Develop and update the organization's data base (email, phone contacts, social media handles etc)
c) Keep Central Executive Council (CEC) abreast of developments pertaining to the good of the organization
d) Monitor mainstream and new media for new information that could be of benefit to the organization
e) Relate new information to all YRI partners and members nationwide as soon as possible
Public Relations And Communication:
a) Maintain a good relationship between YRI and all its members and donors
b) Manage YRI's bulk email, sms and general communication streams
c) Fashion out new PR strategies to keep YRI in the news
Stakeholder Engagement:
a) Maintain a harmonious relationship between YRI, donors, NGOs, and corporate organizations
b) Develop and improve on existing relationship between YRI and donors including corporate Nigeria and NGOs
Resource Management:
a) Ensure judicious use of the organization's resources
b) Harmonize the organization's accounting processes and seek for ways to attract external funding
Qualification: A first degree holder in a higher institution in Nigeria with a basis in law or allied discipline.
Skills: Good relationship and interpersonal skills, an ability to think on his/her feet, a good grasp of the English Language, an ability to work with little supervision, an ability to write meaningfully in the English Language and an ability to multi-task.
