Our Client, a scheduled carrier with routes between West Africa, South Africa, the UK and North America now plan to enhance their team with skills from across the globe. Their Airline is adopting the highest of International standards and plans to develop further as an effective, winning company. Already one of West Africa's leading Airlines operating Domestic, Regional and International flights from their two bases, they operate a Fleet of Boeing, Airbus, Challenger and Hawker aircraft, with plans to add more in the near future.

If you'd like to join the Team as Vice President Marketing (VPM) please read the details below and apply as requested:

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities: The VPM will lead, develop and implement a robust marketing plan for the Airline to support the achievement of the commercial revenue targets and other marketing objectives.

They'll also:

• Manage and motivate the owners of the principal components of the marketing division, E&M Commerce, Advertising, PR, Promotions, Events and Sponsorship and Barters

• Lead and manage the growth of E-commerce via the airline's website and the introduction of new features

• Plan and implement M-Commerce and other modern marketing tools to support the airline's future growth

• Define and direct internal and external sales related marketing programmes, campaigns and incentives

• Build the company's brand through inputs into all aspects of marketing communications including but not limited to PR, advertising, trade shows, sponsorships, collateral material, product development, social media, events, promotions and web content

• Implement customer retention programmes and improve sales cycle, policies, procedures and service standards

• Seek creative and innovative ways to retain customers and create benchmarks for measuring customer satisfaction

• Lead and motivate the Head of FFP to deliver a superior product and elevate the Airline's program and CRM to highest level desired in the industry

• Foster good public relations and positive image in the Airline's entire network

• Follow up and evaluate monthly as well as yearly results and make recommendations to management on areas of improvement

• Impart the required skills to staff for selling and promoting the Airline in its entire network

• Monitor the promotional campaigns mounted by the Airline in its entire network and report to Executive Team and Senior VPs

Who Will Our Client Hire?

Our Clients' preferred Candidate will bring:

• Masters degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline

• Minimum of 10 years proven experience in all aspects of airline marketing activities at a senior level

• Extensive leadership and management experience developed in the aviation industry

• Proven strategic planning ability with commercial acumen with advanced analytical skills

• Strong written communication skills with ability to draft board papers, contracts and commercial agreements

• Knowledge of other areas of airline operations is a distinct advantage

• Sound knowledge of airline loyalty programs and CRM

• Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships within all levels of the Company, Executives, the Board, statutory authorities, government representatives and clients

• Ability to work independently with a flexible and creative approach

• Ability to prioritize in a stressful environment
