Nigeria striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni scored a hat-trick for Guangzhou R&F on Sunday in a Chinese Super League game.

The former Blackburn Rovers star has now scored 12 goals, while Guangzhou R&F are sixth on the league table with 32 points from 25 matches. Yakubu scored in the sixth minute through a penalty to draw level his team at 1-1. He then fired his second goal in the 46th minute to take the scores to 3-2 in favour of the visitors.

He completed his hat-trick with another penalty in the 90 minute to end the game 5-3.
