Nigeria defender, James Okwuosa, believes their 2014 Fifa World Cup playoff opponents, Ethiopia, will not be easy pickings.

The Chippa United centre-back told supersport.com that though his countrymen took to jubilating after being drawn against the East Africans, he does not expect the contest over two legs to "be easy."

Nonetheless, the former Enugu Rangers captain is confident that the African champions will overcome the Walya Antelopes in Addis Ababa on October 13.

"It's not going to be easy against the Ethiopians.

They are one of the 10 teams that reached the playoffs and that is a big achievement for them and we have to respect that. But we will just work hard as a team as we've always done and by God's grace we will go through.

"For us it is a good draw but we can't afford to take things for granted because we are African champions. Yes our fans are happy that we got Ethiopia as opponents (in the playoffs) and I quite understand them from the point of view of a fan. But in football today, there are no easy teams especially when it comes to international football.
The whole of Nigeria is scared of their football team but I believe that we would come out victorios.
