Roles and responsibilities:
• Strategic Management and general coordination of transport functions
• Making sure that transport requirements for inbound and outbound operations are fully meet
• Develop strategies to forestall intransit hijack in conjunction with the Security manager
• Sourcing and Management of 3rd party transport providers
• Making sure 3rd party transporters and their employees adhere to DSC safety rules at all time
• Effective management order to customer cycle time
• Monitoring of load factor and loadability as per set objectives
• Ensure good vehicle spread for all the four regions at all time
• Supervision of the Fuel management partner to ensure A.G.O. is always available and reasonable margin is achieved
• Ensure vehicle standards & driver requirements are met on site
• Coordination of shuttle needs for factory evacuation in line with daily production,Nigeria
Skill set:
• Knowledge of transport regulations
• People Management
• IT literate
• Proven track record of planning and forecasting
• Budget Management and cost controls
• Written and oral communication skills
