Job description: This position offers great challenges and opportunities to stretch your abilities & knowledge of the FMCG industry. The role forms part of a small finance team reporting into the Finance Manager.
Together with the Finance Manager, the Jnr Finance Controller will be responsible for:
1) Master Data Management
1. Master data set up and maintenance in ERP
2) Reconciliation & Control of Accounting functions
1. Accuracy & Completeness of accounting information
2. Petty Cash Reconciliation & Review
3. Outstanding PO's & Supplier invoicing
4. Credit & Petrol Cards
5. Stock control to customer invoicing
6. Accrual & Prepayment management
7. Maintenance of asset register
8. Costing of inventory
9. Reconciliation of other income and expenses & Non-recurring expenses
10. Current and Deferred Tax, Withholding Tax and VAT Calculations and Reconciliations
3) Internal & Group Finance Reporting
1. Reporting on PRISMA (Group Reporting Tool) on monthly basis
2. Generate internal reports for management on all facets of finance & logistics
4) Analysis of Sales, Stock, Expenses, Cash & Asset utilization
1. Analysis of actual results vs. budgeted figures
2. Identify and suggest alternatives for Risks & Opportunities
5) Budgeting & Forecasting (Finance, Cash & Stock)
1. Assistance to the Finance Manager in the budgeting & Forecasting process
6) Management of internal control processes & reporting
1. Draft, implementation & management of internal controls for all departments
2. Monthly and annual reporting of internal control to the Cluster
7) Logistics, Supply Chain functions
1. a. Inventory controls – (Month counts and stock reconciliations)
2. b. Reconciliation of Brand Owner Invoices against PR Nig. Purchase Orders
3. c. Processing stock movement (transfer orders) within the system
4. d. Assist with monthly forecast/depletion review
5. e. Processing and controlling POS materials
6. f. Pricing management within the ERP system.
7. g. Verification and review of processed invoice and credit notes.
8) Advert & Promotion Management
1. Management and controlling of the A&P
2. b. Reporting and reconciliation of the A&P Spend
Desired Skills and Experience
• Degree in finance, commerce
• 5 years accounting experience
• Analytical Skills,
