WYG International has been shortlisted the project "TA Service Contract for Implementation of Support to Federal Govermnance Reform Programme in Five Federal Agencies in Abuja, Nigeria" . The overall objective of the project is to contribute to poverty reduction in Nigeria through promotion of public sector policy and efficiency in public service administration in order to enhance service delivery. Please find attached the ToR.
The base location of the project will be in Abuja at the premises of the five beneficiary agencies. The contract will be for 36 months from the commencement date.
We are currently seeking a Policy Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (660 working days)to join us with the following qualifications and experience:
Requirements:
Qualifications and skills;
• Advanced University Degree (MSc/MA/PHD) in any of: Development Studies, Public Policy or directly related discipline. First University Degree in any of: Development Studies, Public Policy or directly related discipline with at least 12 years working experience in the management of public sector monitoring and evaluation programmes may be considered in lieu of the advanced degree;
• Excellent fluency in both written and spoken English;
General professional experience:
• Minimum 7 years working experience in monitoring and evaluation of policies and budget performance in public institutions;
• Working experience in Sub-Saharan Africa would be an advantage.
Specific professional experience:
• Minimum 4 years working experience in any or combination of the following fields:
• Development of M&E strategies and the establishment of integrated M&E system to ensure effective performance of MDAs in the implementation of government budgets and policy strategies;
• Training of personnel on monitoring and evaluation of government projects
• Assessment of implementation of government's public policies focusing on performance indicators;
• Development of new reform concepts and models for measurement of performance in Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) would be an advantage;
