Victor Namo of Nasarawa United scored his 16th goal on Wednesday and he said he will equal the 20-goal all-time record of the Nigeria league this season.

Namo fired a brace against Shooting Stars in Lafia on Wednesday and the 20-goal mark is very much within his sights now.

"I know I can score 20 goals this season and that was why I set that target when the season was about to start, I am on 16 now and I am sure I will get at least four in remaining games," Namo stated.

"But my main priority is to help my team escape the drop."

The former Kano Pillars star scored in the 39th and 42nd minutes to help Nasarawa beat visiting 3SC 3-0, with Solomon Babatunde netting the other goal in the 20th minute.
