Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole officially commissioned the Area Command Office of the Nigerian Securities and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), recently in Benin City.
At the event, the Governor praised the efforts of the Corps at combating crimes in spite of obvious challenges.
He stated that their spirited commitment has earned them a place in the task of security and protection, and assured the corps of the state government's support in carrying out their duties.
The Edo South Area Commandant of the Corps, Chief Superintendent of Corps CSC, Esokwu Charity expressed gratitude to all those who facilitated the actualization of the command's office, and also appealed for improved working environment and tools for a more secured and prosperous state.Present at the occasion were the State Commissioner of Police and the Zonal Commandant of the Civil Defense Corps.
