Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) UK offers scholarships for its accredited MEng or BEng programmes in some UK universities.
Eligibility
You can apply for a Power Academy Scholarship if:
• You have an offer to study an IET accredited* MEng or BEng electrical, electronic or power engineering course at the University of Bath, the University of Cardiff, Imperial College London, the University of Strathclyde, the University of Manchester, the University of Southampton, or Queen's University Belfast, or are already in the second, third or final year of an IET accredited degree course at one of these universities;
• You qualify for the home/EU tuition fees (scholarships are not available to students who pay tuition fees at the international level).
Selection process:
Successful applicants will have achieved three good grades at A Level (or equivalent) including mathematics and physics, and are good communicators who can demonstrate planning and problem solving skills, and the ability to work in a team.
Graduation:
Although Power Academy graduates are encouraged to work for the sponsoring company following graduation, this is not compulsory.
*IET accredited degree courses
To be eligible for an IET Power Academy scholarship you must be studying on (or planning to undertake) an IET UK accredited degree programme (http://www.theiet.org/about/scholarships-awards/ambition/undergraduate/accredit.cfm).
