Apple's new iPad will be announced on October 22, according to a report from technology publication AllThingsD. (http://allthingsd.com/20131008/apple-will-hold-fall-ipad-event-on-october-22/) The fifth generation iPad is expected to be thinner and sport Apple's new 64-bit A7 processor. Apple may also release a new iPad Mini at the event, possibly one with a new "retina" high definition display.
AllThingsD reports that Apple will announce other products that day, including new computers running Mac OS X Mavericks.
