Super Eagles defender, Godfrey Oboabona has told Complete Sports that his inability to play regular football at his Turkish club will not affect his performance when the team files out against the Walya Antelopes of Ethiopia on Sunday in Addis Ababa.
.
The former Sunshine Stars back man who joined the Super Eagles in training yesterday at the Abuja National Stadium said he has been training and very fit to play against the Ethiopians in the 2014 FIFA World Cup play-off match.
.
"Well, I was not given the opportunity to play immediately I arrived in Turkey but I think I am beginning to prove what I can do to the coaches and I am hoping that I get more playing time", says Oboabona.
.
"I train everyday and I can tell you that I am very fit for the match against Ethiopia. We need the match to move closer to the World Cup and the only thing that can help us is for everyone to be at his best and do his job which we are all ready to do.
.
"So much has been said about the Ethiopians and we really need to prepare well for them because a win in Addis Ababa will help us a lot while there will not be much pressure on us in the return leg match.
