Title: 18 Eagles Begin Training For Ethiopia

Eagles opened training Tuesday in Abuja ahead a World Cup playoff in Ethiopia but five pros led by Victor Moses and Emmanuel Emenike still expected.

The other call-ups still to join the squad are Dynamo Kiev striker Brown Ideye, Nosa Igoebor of Spanish side Real Betis and Shola Ameobi of Newcastle.

Ameobi has been an injury doubt but coach Stephen Keshi has insisted the Newcastle striker will be available for this match. Top team official Emmanuel Attah said the players in are all fit and ready for Sunday's match in Addis Ababa.

"The players who have joined up are in top shape. We are expecting the other players later today," he said.

Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi, Ahmed Musa of CSKA Moscow and Lille goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama were among the 18 players who trained on Tuesday evening.

The training at the refurbished Abuja National Stadium was mostly tactical and last for about two hours.

The team will train again at the same venue Wednesday afternoon.

The team are due to fly out of Abuja early Saturday for Ethiopia.
