Some stakeholders in the newly formed All Progressives Congress (APC) led by former Imo State Governor Achike Udenwa have expressed dissatisfaction over the list of commissioner-nominees sent to the state House of Assembly for screening.
Sources said the Udenwa's camp was angry that Governor Rochas Okorocha rejected the nominees sent to him by the stakeholders for appointment as members of the state executive council.
A source, who did not want his name mentioned, said those considered for appointment as members of the executive council by the governor are members the of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
According to the source, the stakeholders would soon meet to review the governor's action "with a view to take a stand on it."
When National Mirror contacted Udenwa on phone, he claimed that he had not seen the list to ascertain the composition of the new cabinet.
But Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Chinedu Offor, said: "Governor Okorocha has just released the first batch of the 13-nominee and that everybody who the governor considers useful in the development of the state will be considered in subsequent batches.
"The governor is yet to appoint special advisers and personal assistants, so there is still room to accommodate all stakeholders."
Meanwhile, the state House of Assembly yesterday appointed a sevenman committee to screen 13 commissioner-nominees submitted by Governor Okorocha.
The screening committee was headed by the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Donatus Ozoemena.
The nominees are Prof. Uba Nnabue, Chike Okafor, Mrs Uche Ejiogu, Ugochi Nnanna okoro, Uche Okoro, Jerry Okorie, Love Mma Onyechere, Best Mbanaso, Prof Okey Magnus Okoro, Nick oparandudu, Uche Nwosu and Dr Ifeanyi Nwachukwu.
Members of the committee headed by Deputy Speaker are Simeon Iwunze, Samuel Anyanwu, Ikechukwu Amuka, Pat Ekeji, Robertson Ekwebelem and K.O Greg.
