The Federal Government has declared Tuesday and Wednesday next week as public holidays to mark the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
The Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro, who made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement yesterday, congratulated Muslims and enjoined them and all other Nigerians to join hands with President Goodluck Jonathan in "his sustained efforts to raise Nigeria to the next level of development".
Moro also urged Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace and unity across the country.
While wishing Nigerians a most rewarding and peaceful celebration, the minister tasked them on the need to be security conscious.
