Title: Apple, Nokia Put Patent Differences Behind Them
Post by: ECTNews on Jun 16, 2011, 03:02 AM
Apple and Nokia have ironed out a patent license agreement that includes a settlement of all patent litigation between them, including a retraction of respective complaints filed to the U.S. International Trade Commission. Apple has agreed to fork over a one-time payment and pay ongoing royalties to Nokia for an undisclosed term. The specific parameters of the contract are confidential. The patent dispute has been going on since 2009, with the companies trading jabs over dozens of alleged patent infringements.
