• Functional genomics and gene discovery
• Ex situ germplasm conservation and allele discovery
• Bioinformatics and database management
• Application of rice cell engineering and transgenic technology in germplasm improvement and gene discovery
• Crop physiology for yield improvement and tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses,
• Adaptation and mitigation of the impact
of climate change
• Water use efficiency and water management
• Grain quality and nutrition
• Crop modeling and applied photosynthesis research
• Soil sciences and crop nutrient management
• Weed science
• Application of geological information systems (GIS) and remote sensing technologies
• Social sciences and agricultural economic
Type of Scholarship:
1. 6 to 24 months for "Sandwich" Doctoral Degree Training
2. Up to 12 months for visiting scientists/ fellowship program
Who: Candidates will be citizens and permanent residents of the People's Republic of China at the time of application.
