President Goodluck Jonathan had reportedly shunned many of the ex-governors in his list of nominees, on the basis of his desire not to have the coming cabinet start on a controversial note.
While many of the ex-governors may not make the cabinet, indications were rife that some of them might be appointed into other political offices, including ambassadorial positions, to quel dissention within the People democratic party.
It was confirmed in Abuja that the list comprised mainly returning ministers. But the names of the returning ministers could not be ascertained at press time.
