Since breast cancer kills a lot of women, it is not surprising that many women are very passionate and concerned about it. Several of them advocated against it and many more wish they can do contribute to the fight against it.
One of such women is Doris Ariole, a producer. She doesn't belong to the set of those who want to take action but those who are actually taking action.
And since her strong fort is entertainment, it is what she is using to battle breast cancer. "You have to use what you have to get what you want, and entertainment is what I have, so I'm using to get what I want, which is to let people know about breast cancer and what they can do about it," she told Entervaganza.
To this end, she has come up with Pink Crusade, an annual program that will use various entertainment content to create awareness on breast cancer.
"This year's Pink Crusade, which is also the maiden edition, will be a stage drama, Diva's Tussle, and it will be an in-depth expose on breast cancer," she said.
Speaking further, she said Diva's Tussle will shed more light on breast cancer like never before as its story line is about three women visit a Pink Hospice, after being diagnosed of different stages of breast cancer, with the hope of getting answers that will help them deal with the emotional journey of fighting breast cancer. However, at the hospice, they meet other women who also have breast cancer, and seven women thereby tell their stories of breast cancer through Diva's Tussle.
Concluding, she said, "We urge women, especially, to turn up en masse for Diva's Tussle at Terra Kulture today to learn as much as they can and should about breast cancer and also get a free breast ultrasound scan with their ticket after the show."
