In continuation of the Oyo State Government's Agricultural Transformation Agenda, an Agricultural Training Centre has been established at the Farm Mechanization Centre, Fasola for the training of the Youths in the State in practical and mechanized Agriculture in the following major Agricultural Enterprises in the State:

      • Poultry, and
      • Fisheries.

Under the programme, Ajumose Vegetable Model villages will also be established in the following Local Government areas:

• Akinyele (Alabata/Ijaiye)
• Kajola (Okeho)
• Ido (Akufo)
• Orelope (Igboho)
• Atisbo (Irawo)
• Saki East (Ago-Amodu and Ogbooro)

The vegetable production programme will commence in Alabata and Okeho, where earth dams had been constructed by the State Government.

The motive of the Agricultural programme is to create employment for our youths, thereby making them not only to be self employed but employers of labour, with potential  handsome annual turnover.  The programme is also designed to  replace hoes and cutlasses presently in use by our peasant farmers with sophisticated agricultural machineries for mechanized commercial agriculture, aimed at ensuring abundance food production for the teeming population in the State. The programme is open to all youths who are indigenes of Oyo State.  Additional qualifications of B.Sc., H.N.D. O.N.D. and NCE in any field of Agriculture will be an added advantage.
