Bayelsa State Government's order to a popular private radio station in Yenagoa, Royal FM, to relocate is causing ripples in the state.
The radio station is owned by Chief George Fente, a former political adviser and campaign director to former Governor Timipre Sylva.
For some time now, the station located at Agudama- Epie in the state capital has been critical of government policies in the state and this is not going down well with the authorities.
But the state government through a letter from the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure explained that the structure housing the station was built on the right of way.
The letter said the relocation order was to allow the construction of the road where the station was sited.
If the order is adhered to, government will demolish the radio station to make way for the road construction.
